The simple version: The only data we collect is to help us understand how our own website is performing so we can keep improving our online presence and build on it. We do not sell your data, we do not track you across other websites, and we never use your information for advertising.
This policy explains what information MKS Digital Solutions collects when you visit our website, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. We have written it in plain English because we believe you should be able to understand exactly what happens to your data.
Who we are

What we collect, and why
We collect two types of information, and only for clear, limited reasons.
1. Anonymous website analytics. When you browse our site (and only if you have given consent through our cookie banner), we record basic, anonymous information about how the site is used. This includes the pages visited, whether you arrived from a search engine or another site, and whether you are on a mobile or desktop device.
We use this purely to see how our website is performing, understand what visitors find useful, and find ways to improve and grow our online presence. This data does not identify you personally. We do not record your name, and we do not build a profile of you.
2. Enquiry form details. If you choose to fill in our enquiry form, we collect the details you provide, such as your name, business name, email address, phone number, and your message. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry and discuss how we might help your business.
Cookies and consent
When you first visit, we ask for your consent before collecting any analytics. If you accept, we store a single small cookie that simply remembers your choice, so we do not have to ask you on every page. If you decline, no analytics are collected at all.
The only strictly necessary cookie we use is the one that records your consent choice. It contains no personal information and is used for nothing else.
Our lawful basis
Under UK GDPR, we rely on the following lawful bases:
- Consent for website analytics. You choose whether to allow this, and you can change your mind at any time.
- Legitimate interests and taking steps at your request for handling enquiries. When you contact us, we process your details to reply and provide the information you asked for.
How long we keep it
Anonymous analytics are kept only as long as they are useful for understanding our website's performance. Enquiry details are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting work, after which they are removed. If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data to anyone, ever. Your information is stored securely within our own systems (including Google's services, which we use to receive enquiries and view our own analytics). We do not share it with advertisers or third party marketers.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Ask what information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct or delete it
- Withdraw your consent to analytics at any time
- Object to how we use your information
- Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you are unhappy with how we have handled your data
